After the traditional Flag Raising Ceremony at Calasiao Sports Complex, it was followed by the launching of the national advocacy campaign of Secretary Año, “Disiplina Muna”. Moreover, the pledge of commitment to the said advocacy was led by the Municipal Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon together with Sangguniang Bayan members, headed by Vice Mayor Mahadeva Das B. Mesina, Madam Marilou Geslani, MLGOO, PLTCOL Joseph Fajardo Jr. and the Departments Heads.
The Municipal Mayor asserted everyone to work hand and hand in controlling the spread of the Novel Corona Virus ’19.
Mayor Bauzon also reiterated that public employees should be the role models in every rules and guidelines imposed to the public as he stated “Discipline starts with us, Sa aking mga kapwa kawani, tulungan natin ang isa’t-isa lalo na ang ating mga kababayang Calasiaoñeos at para hindi na mahirapan ang ating mga kapulisan”
Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon revisited the ongoing construction of the One Stop Shop for Business and the other establishment site for Building/Construction Permits that will be fully operational soon. The two buildings were located behind the Municipal premises that framework for the easier accessibility to our constituents.

The New Business One Stop Shop of the Municipality of Calasiao is now being readied to serve our kabaleyans better and with less hassle as we all embrace the new normal lifestyle.
The Local Government Unit of Calasiao and the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1 distributed cattle as assistance to the local hog raisers who were affected by the African Swine Fever (ASF). Since the DA still prohibits hog raising due to the presence of ASF and so recommended alternative farming such as cattle raising and/or free range chicken production.
A total of 12 fattening cattle, and 4 breeder (3 heifer and 1 bull) was alloted for the municipality. The said event was personally witnessed by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon and is distributed by the Regulatory Division of Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1 thru its representative Dr. Alfiero P. Banaag.
A consultative meeting between the Local Government Unit of Calasiao and the Department of Education Calasiao I and II was held today, July 6, 2020 at the Regional Evacuation Center, Poblacion East, Calasiao.
Despite the pandemic brought by CoVid19, schools will open and start the next academic year 2020-2021 in August using a Flexible Learning Method or defined as the combination of digital teaching with other offline methods such as take-home tasks for learners.
Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon expressed his support to this new normal mode of education and gave emphasis on the need for strong internet connection in every school once the flexible learning starts.
He is also happy to announce that LGU Calasiao is doing all means and is willing to help in providing internet connection and photocopying machines to all public elementary and secondary schools in the municipality.
“We do not want to compromise the quality education for our children because of the crisis our world is facing now. We, in the public service, parents and educators should also help each other to “connect the dots,” Mayor JAB stated.
The Local Government Unit of Calasiao conducted Budget Forum for the fiscal year 2021 at the 3rd floor of the Municipal Building. The said forum was spearheaded by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon and Municipal Budget Officer Ms. Leticia Garcia. Among those present were Vice Mayor Mahadeva Das B. Mesina, Municipal Administrator Marc Jerome S. Gabrillo, members of the Sangguniang Bayan and the Municipal Department Heads.
Aside from the budget review, they also discussed the measures and actions to be taken for the economic recovery of the municipality to further boost stability and better services for the Calasiaoeños.
Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon had a meeting with Mr. Robert Z. Barongan PSDS Calasiao I and Dr. Catherine Joy D. Ferrer PSDS Calasiao II regarding the upcoming school year and discussed matters on the new learning environment to ensure the safety of both teachers and students.

PDC approves “Abig” Pangasinan Recovery Plan
The Pangasinan Provincial Development Council (PDC) approved the Annual Investment Program highlighted by the “Abig” Pangasinan Recovery Plan for calendar year 2021.
Derived from the Pangasinan term which means betterment or welfare, “Abig” Pangasinan will focus on addressing the socio-economic challenges of Pangasinan due to COVID-19 and assist affected sectors in the province.
“Ang kailangan natin ngayon ay tulungan ang mga kababayan natin. We anchor our resources and strengths for recovery,” said Governor Amado I. Espino III stressing that the “Abig” Pangasinan Recovery Plan for CY 2021 will progress towards the socio-economic recovery in the Pangasinan.
The provincial chief executive highlighted the importance of supporting small-scale workers for the “Abig” Pangasinan.
“Kailangan nating tulungan ang mga maliliit na businesses. Ang importante ay kumita at magkaroon ng trabaho ang mga Pangasinense,” said Governor Espino as he vows to support small businesses in Pangasinan by providing a window of opportunity for them to recover through “Abig” Pangasinan.
Furthermore, all reinforcement projects of the provincial government will fall under the “Abig” Pangasinan Recovery Plan.
The “Abig” Pangasinan Recovery Plan covers priority programs, projects, and activities that addresses the following: enhanced health care system, increased agricultural productivity, livelihood assistance, manpower development and employment, environmental protection and disaster risk reduction and management, infra support development, social welfare service, tourism development and promotional activities, and other regular programs such as housing and resettlement projects, scholarship programs, peace and order, sports activities, human resource development, and financial management.
It can be noted that the resources of the Provincial Government offices were also pooled to grant more funds that will directly help the local governments.
Provincial Government Offices will maintain their current projects and programs with lesser budget to be anchored on the “Abig” Pangasinan Plan.
Governor Espino urged local government unit chiefs and PDC members to unite towards the recovery of the province. He also directed the LGU mayors to create a technical working group which will oversee the recovery programs of each LGU.
The PDC members also approved the supplemental budget from the Department of Energy for public health workers.
Chairman of PDC and Governor Amado I. Espino III, together with PDC Secretary Benita Pizzaro, led the blended meeting on June 30 at the Pangasinan Training Center II with onsite and online participation of PDC members.
