UPDATES: The Ministry of Health and Welfare of Republic of Korea removed 1 case from the cumulative cases on 28 February 2021. Dates affected by this correction are 28 February to 1 March 2021. 344 new cases were reported today, therefore, the total number of cases for Republic of Korea is 90,372, as of 2 March 2021, 10 AM Manila Time.

Papua New Guinea National Department of Health

published revision notes of figures from 28 February to 1 March 2021. The cumulative cases in Papua New Guinea have been revised to 1295(+20); 1316(+21), and the cumulative deaths have been revised to 13(+1); 13(+0), for 28 February 2021 and 1 March 2021 respectively. 49 new cases and 1 new death were reported today, therefore, the total cases for Papua New Guinea is 1,365, and total deaths is 14, as of 2 March 2021, 10 AM Manila Time.

Diskwento Caravan sa Calasiao

 

DISKWENTO CARAVAN: Presyong Panalo para sa Mamimiling Pilipino
The Department of Trade and Industry continues its conduct of Diskwento Caravan to provide affordable basic goods and other low-cost products to the public amidst the pandemic brought about by COVID-19.
The Diskwento Caravan is a DTI initiative that aims to provide reasonably priced quality products to the consuming public, in partnership with the manufacturers and distributors of basic necessities and prime commodities through the help of Local Government Units.
Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon graced the occasion and led the ceremonial ribbon cutting together with DTI ASec. Domingo Tolentino, ASec. Demphna Du-Naga, DTI Regional Director Grace Falgui-Baluyan, OIC DTI Provincial Director Natalia Basto-Dalaten and Bued PB Engr. Carlito Dion.
The said caravan is ongoing today, February 26, 2021 at the Bued Barangay Hall Gymnasium until 4pm and it features different products and items at a very reasonable price.

Mga magsasaka ng Pangasinan, nakatanggap ng P274.6-milyon halagang makinarya
Pinangunahan ni Gobernador Amado I. Espino III kasama ang Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHILMECH) ang pamamahagi ng mahigit P274.6-milyon halagang makinaryang pang-agrikultura sa mga Farmers Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) ng Pangasinan ngayong araw, February 19 sa Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC).
Bahagi ito ng farm mechanization project sa ilalim ng Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) na naglalayong suportahan ang mga magsasaka upang mas lalong mapalago at mapaganda ang kanilang ani.
Sa kaniyang mensahe, nagpasalamat si Gob. Espino sa national government sa mga biyayang natanggap ng mga magsasaka ng lalawigan kung saan ibinilin din nya sa mga magsasaka na alagaan ang kanilang makinarya bilang sukli sa suporta ng gobyerno.
Hiling naman ni PHILMECH Facility Management and Field Operations Division Chief Joel V. Dator sa mga magsasaka na patuloy na magsikap at bigyan ng halaga ang makinaryang ipinagkaloob sa kanila, habang makaaasa sila sa patuloy ng suporta ng national government.
Kabilang sa mga ipinamahagi ang mga sumusunod: four-wheel tractor (114 units), hand tractor (115 units), precision seeder (2 units), walk-behind rice transplanter (3 units), riding type rice transplanter(1 units), rice combine harvester (48 units), mobile rice mill (6 units), at mini thresher (6 units).

10th Cycle of Supplemental Feeding

Department of Social Welfare and Development RFO1 delivered 1,050 packs of dry rations to Pinablin Calasiao today, 18 February 2021. This is part of their 10th Cycle of Supplemental Feeding for those who were able to – Child Development Learners report.
Mayor Joseph Arman C received it. Bauzon, ECCD Focal Person Ace Lorenze P. Jorgio and the Child Development workers. The said food pack or ration is good for 60 feeding days that will be distributed to Early Child Development Learners to monitor their nutritional status.

Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon held a press conference 17th day of February, 2021 and delivered his official statement regarding the merciless killing of Mr. Reynaldo “Bogart” Bugayong, the OIC Chief of Calasiao Public Order and Safety Office, who was slain on the morning of February 16.
Calasiao Chief of Police PLt.Col. Ferdinand de Asis also gave updates on the investigation.
Municipal Department Heads and the LGU employees jointly condemn the brutal killing of the slain OIC POSO Chief. Immediate family of the late Sir Bogart demanded for immediate enquiry, arrest and punishment of the culprits involved in the incident.
In his statement, Mayor JAB stressed that with the help of PNP Calasiao, he is hoping that those perpetuators of this barbaric and criminal act will be put behind the bars in no time.

Distribution of Six (6) Hand Tractors in Aliguas Dumaralos Buenlag Inc.

Led by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon and Municipal Agriculturalist Dra. Monette I. Noguit is the distribution of six (6) hand tractors in Aliguas Dumaralos Buenlag Inc. with some representatives from Department of Agriculture RFO1 and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech). This is part of the program of the Department of Agriculture to distribute agri-machineries to the Farmer s’ Cooperative and Association in cooperation with the Provincial Government and Office of the Provincial Agriculturalist. The said distribution of agricultural machinery was held at Calasiao Public Plaza  February 15, 2021.

MOA Signing Between LGU Calasiao and Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Calasiao Plant

A signing of Memorandum of Agreement between the Local Government of Calasiao headed by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon, and the top officials from the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Calasiao Plant. The said agreement is to put up washing facilities at the Public Market in response to compliance to health protocols in order to stop the spread of CoViD-19. Witnessed by Engr. Launching of the KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan)

The Local Government Unit of Calasiao headed by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon is in solidarity in the launching of the KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) Tungo sa Kaunlaran. It is a joint effort of the Philippine National Police, the Church and the Community which aims to promote camaraderie towards a progressive and peaceful community. The said launching took place at the Calasiao Sports Complex on January 30, 2021.
PBGen. Rodolfo S. Azurin, Jr. PNP Regional Director graced the occassion being the Guest of Honor and Speaker. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed by the participating different sectors in the community.
The said activity was also attended by Rev. Lee D. Oliver, KASIMBAYANAN Advocate, PCol. Ronald V. Gayo PNP Provincial Director, Rev. Fr. PLt.Col. Valdem Joseph Ocampo, PLt.Col. Ferdinand Z. Road Clearing Operation in Calasiao

Nagkaroon ng pagpupulong ngayong araw, Enero 21, 2021 na pinangunahan ni Punong Bayan Joseph Arman C. Bauzon kaugnay ng pagpapatuloy ng road clearing operations sa ating bayan ngayong taon. Tinalakay din ni Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Mdm. Marilou B. Geslani ang DILG Memorandum 2020-145 na may kinalaman sa muling pagpapatupad ng road clearing sa lahat ng lokal na pamahalaan. Ipinaliwanag nya rin sa nasabing pagpupulong ang mga alituntunin o guidelines sa pagsasagawa ng road clearing validation at mga forms na kailangang sagutan ukol dito. Ang Validation Team ay binubuo ng mga kinatawan mula sa DILG, PNP, BFP at ng CSO.

GOOD GOVERNANCE AT ITS FINEST!
The Municipality of Calasiao headed by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon ranked 3rd Place in Ilocos Region and garnered the 59th Place spot in the whole country in the OverAll Competitiveness for the 1st-2nd Class Municipalities Category during the Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) Awards 2020 by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The CMCI is an annual ranking of Philippine Cities and Municipalities by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committee with the Assistance of United States Assistance for International Development (USAID). CMCI measures the performance of local government units, using the 4 indicators namely:
1. Economic Dynamism
2. Government Efficiency
3. Infrastracture and
4. Resiliency
In addition Pinablin Calasiao was also awarded the following.

-2nd Place in Ilocos Region
-20th Place Nationwide

Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) held a meeting.
As President of MPOC and MADAC led himself by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon meeting, 13th January 2021 on welfare and peace in the town of Pinablin Calasiao.
The said meeting was attended by MLGOO Mdm. Marilou B. Geslani, PNP Calasiao Chief of Police PLt. Col. Ferdinand Z. de Asis, representatives of BFP Calasiao and Municipal Department Heads.
As a responsible and disciplined Calasiaoeño, solidarity and understanding the enforced rules is a great help to our nation.
